From stepping over sewer grates to crossing fertilized lawns, the average shoe becomes home to more than 421,000 units of bacteria over the course of two weeks, according to a University of Arizona study. To help control these germs, Rockport has developed a new line of washable shoes for women. Toss them in the washing machine, and one cycle eliminates more than 90% of bacteria.

I love walking in the rows of pine trees behind my parents home. I get to see the old tree where we used to have family picnics and have most of our beloved family pets buried.
