Since I’ve been loom knitting I’ve started noticing yarn. There’s a positively endless array of beautiful colors and textures out there! But yarn’s not just for knitting and crocheting – it’s a wonderful craft material to use, especially in the winter, when cozy is the name of the game. So drop the needles and be inspired by what these creative people have come up with.

I’ve made a yarn wrapped lampshade before (wrapping the yarn vertically over a bare lamp base) and it’s held up for almost a decade. But I’ve never seen a yarn lampshade with this type of graphic, contemporary feel. Find the instructions at Vintage Revivals. (Make sure you click through to see the room reveal at the bottom of this post. It’s amazing!)

This hanging pendant light from Made By Girl didn’t come without challenges, but it rivals much pricier light fixtures.
