While I love trying new slow cooker recipes, I’ll admit that I have a few favorites that I make again and again. Take the turkey meatballs I first concocted in December. They turned out so well that I’ve made them several times since–including last night.
Those meatballs have become my go-to slow cooker recipe for a number of reasons: I only need a few minutes to prep. Since I use lean, ground turkey and part-skim ricotta, the meatballs are pretty healthy. The dish is perfect for company or if I need a quick dinner for myself. Plus, I can freeze the leftovers and they taste just as delicious when reheated.
Our other food bloggers have their go-to slow cooker recipes, as well. Irina loved her first slow cooker oatmeal so much that she’s since made other variations. And Michael often whips up his slow cooker creamy pork ragu and rigatoni for Sunday dinner. (And after making it myself, I can see why!)
So I’d love to hear from you: What’s your go-to slow cooker recipe? And why? Is it because it’s super-easy? Or because your family is thrilled every time you serve it up? Share in the comments below.
