This November, while our veterans are honored for their service to our country, they can also enjoy a multitude of freebies, discounts and deals at restaurants, stores and travel destinations nationwide. There are even a few specials for non-military personnel. Mark your calendar now!

FOOD

Applebee’s: Veterans can enjoy a free meal on November 11.

Golden Corral: November 12 is Military Appreciation Monday. Any active duty member or veteran can receive a free meal from 5-9 p.m.

Tim Hortons: Veterans with military ID or uniform will receive a free donut on Veterans Day.

Denny’s: Denny’s will offer free All You Can Eat Pancakes on Monday, November 12, to all active military personnel and veterans with a military ID.

RETAIL

Home Depot: Military personnel and their immediate family will receive a 10% discount with military ID on Veterans Day.

Lowe’s: Military personnel and veterans can enjoy a 10% discount on in-store purchases. The discount is also extended to their immediate families.

Old Navy: Every Monday, including November 12, active and veteran military personnel with ID cards are granted 10% off their purchases.

Big Lots: Veterans, active duty, retired and reserve military personnel and their immediate family members with valid ID get a 10% discount on purchases.

Kmart: Every Kmart visitor can enjoy storewide discounts at the Veterans Day Sale.

Macy’s: From November 11 to November 15, every Macy’s shopper can take advantage of the annual Veterans Day Sale.

Build-A-Bear Workshop: To celebrate Veterans Day, the store is offering 20% off a purchase when guests present a valid military ID.

TRAVEL

Bed and Breakfasts: For any active or retired military or veteran and one guest, over 900 inns will offer discounts or free rooms. Check out betterwaytostay.com for a list of participants and available rooms.

Red Roof Inn: Veterans with valid military IDs get 15% off their stay for the entire month of November.

National Park Services: All 397 National Park Service sites will offer free admission for all visitors from November 10-12 in honor of Veterans Day.

Colonial Williamsburg: The “Honoring Service to America” program grants free admission to Colonial Williamsburg’s Revolutionary City and art museums for all members of the military—active duty, retired and dependents—the weekend of November 10-12.

Football Hall of Fame: The museum will be hosting their twelfth annual Veterans Day Salute on November 3. As part of the day-long recognition, veterans, active duty and reserve members of the U.S. armed forces and one guest, will be admitted free of charge to the Hall of Fame and receive a 10% discount at the Hall of Fame Store.

Historic Jamestowne: In honor of the holiday, Jamestown is offering free admission to everyone from November 10-12.

DONATION

Sports Clips: One dollar from every haircut on Veterans Day will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars for its Operation Uplink free call days program.
