Famed designer and art enthusiast Todd Oldham has teamed up with Target stores to bring a series of craft books to the younger set this month. An offshoot of his successful 2010 release, Kids Made Modern, the “All About” book series includes four books that share Oldham’s love and admiration of mid-century design ideas and translates them into creative, colorful, and thoughtful projects for kids.
Each book celebrates and demystifies a classic craft technique – collage, dyeing, embroidery, and fabric printing – presented in Oldham’s colorful, fresh style. In all, there are 52 playful, simple-to-make craft projects featuring inexpensive, often recyled, easily accessible materials – perfect for the young, budding artist in your life. Even better, I think parents will enjoy participating in these projects as well.
The book series (and accompanying art supplies) are available at all Target stores right now.
