Say Goodbye to Cable Clutter

Sometimes it takes just one simple idea to wash away a daily irritant. The PowerQ from the Joy Factory ($39.95) is just that sort of thing.
Admittedly I am a heavy user of personal electronics. But I don’t think the hassle of keeping chargers handy for all the devices I use daily is mine alone. Everyone I know seems to struggle with this one. I always sport at least two small electronic devices: Phone and Kindle, phone and bluetooth headset, iPad and phone, phone and BodyMedia Fit Core. You get the idea. That’s a lot of chargers to keep track of.
But if the PowerQ is plugged in near my bedside table, I only need to keep track of a few USB cables. So I keep a bag of cables — with USB on one end and whatever matches my device on the other — in a drawer near the bed. I can charge anything now without getting out of bed and hunting down a charger. And when I travel, it’s easy to throw the plug and a handful of cover-all-my-bases USB cables into a tiny bag. Irritation – and cable clutter – gone.
