A Fun, Easy Way to Find a New Workout

Running on a treadmill just isn’t my thing. And New York’s temperamental weather means I can’t always exercise outside. That’s why I’ve become a fitness class addict. But, after a while, the same old Pilates and kickboxing sessions at my gym start to feel routine. Looking for a different way to break a sweat, I checked out GoRecess.com, a new workout class booking site that boasts over 100,000 options nationwide. Despite the endless options, registering is a cinch. Just enter your zip code and choose from the genres of classes you’re interested in: yoga, cardio, dance, strength, Pilates, barre, martial arts, boot camp, and pre/post-natal. Then, narrow down the selection by workout type, schedule, location, price and rating—users can read and write class reviews too. It’s also a great way to find workouts when you’re traveling.

I checked out a barre class—something I don’t usually sign up for—and loved it. Next time I’m up for a session, it’ll be even easier to book, since GoRecess saved all my credit card info. And I paid the studio’s rate, with no extra charge. Now I have one less excuse to miss a workout.
