It’s here. Hanukkah starts tomorrow, less than a week before Christmas…Hopefully, you’re sitting with your feet up, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate, and patting yourself on the back for getting it all done early. BUT, if you’re like most of us, there are still a few things on your list, and possibly a few loved ones still without gifts.
Don’t worry. I’ve got you covered, with a bakers’ dozen gift ideas that you can still make in time, some in as little as twenty minutes! Quick, but meaningful crafting.
These glitter and costume jewelry (or rhinestone button) embellished votives are a great hostess gift (via bhg.com).
These flowers were meant for a table runner, but if you glue a pin back onto them, they’re a pretty, seasonal brooch (via Fiskars).
Framed game piece sentiments are a quick and easy gift idea. If you can’t find game pieces at local antique stores (or from incomplete sets in your own home), you can often find them in craft stores, in the scrapbook supply section (via Rockett St. George).
A set of beautiful napkins is always nice to have and these employ the most basic sewing skills (if you can sew a straight line, you can make them) (via The Purl Bee).
You have to look closely to determine that these fanciful lights are made from egg cartons. Perfect for a girl’s bedroom or for the romantic in your life (via Apartment Therapy).
Super easy. You can make an entire collection of fun clips in a few minutes time. (Package them on a pretty card stock backing with 1/8-inch holes punched along each side to hold the pins) (via lilSugar).
Quick, but polished in presentation. Happy comfort food (via Sunset).
Forego the pricey custom photo canvases in favor of a DIY version (via Love of Family and Home).
Buy inexpensive mugs in bulk and make one-of-a-kind gifts with nothing more than a porcelain paint pen (found at craft stores) (via Sinnen Rausch).
Don’t sew? You can still turn out custom table linens with a simple stencil and some fabric paint (via DesignSponge).
Bring a touch of sunshine to someone’s life with this DIY Citrus Salt Scrub (via Adelyn Stone).
Twenty minute tote bags are a good bet for everyone on your list (via The Purl Bee).
Rocks and rub-ons pair up in these stylish paperweights (via Bella Dia).
