Test Kitchen Sneak Peek gives you a behind the scenes look at what our food editors are cooking in the Family Circle test kitchen, plus their expert tips.

Tired of the same old chicken recipe for dinner? Our food editors are here to help! For our August issue, the Family Circle food team is working on 10 ways to cook chicken to add some variety to this go-to protein. One of the recipes they are working on is Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos. Here’s a look at our associate food editor Michael Tyrrell testing out this taco recipe in the Family Circle test kitchen.

The key to making these Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos is the marinade, explains Michael Tyrrell. The main flavor for the tacos comes from the teriyaki sauce used to season the meat. Michael used a store-bought Korean teriyaki stir fry sauce that can be found at most grocery stores. When you’re short on time—which most of us are—using store-bought marinades is a quick and easy option to give a dish the flavor you’re looking for.

To finish the tacos, Michael topped the chicken with cucumbers and cilantro.

Let me tell you, these tacos are tasty! I got to taste one and they are light, flavorful, and perfect for summer.
