Healthy Fast Food

Starting today, fast food restaurants across the nation are adding healthy menu options for kids. More than 19 different chains, like Burger King and El Pollo Loco, are offering kids meals that are 600 calories or less, as part of the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LivingWell initiative. (Visit to healthydiningfinder.com to check out the participating chains and meals.)

The new improved healthy kid’s meals include an entrée, side and beverage with two servings of fruit, veggies, whole grain, lean protein or low-fat dairy. So next time you rush through the drive-thru, it’ll be easy to be healthy in a hurry.

But do you think your kids will go for it? What do you think about these new options?
