When I started Family Circle’s Fiction Contest, it was an experiment. I thought I’d run it once and see what happens. Now over six years later—and with best-selling judges like Jodi Picoult, Emily Giffin and Sara Gruen happily donating their time—I am proud to call it a true success. But what I find most surprising is that the submissions are getting better and better! So thank you all for supporting me and my literary experiment.
This year, I’m excited to welcome Lisa Unger as one of our judges. Her latest novel, Heartbroken, is a can’t-put-down thriller interlaced with insightful family drama and echoes of Wuthering Heights.
Learn more here about how you can enter this year’s Fiction Contest. All entries must be postmarked on or before September 7, 2012 and received by September 14, 2012. And don’t forget to read last year’s winning story here and a list of the runners-up.
