Last Thursday, we hosted our monthly Facebook slow cooker chat with Michael Tyrrell, our associate food editor and slow cooker expert. One question that came up was:
Should you use liners in your slow cooker?
Several readers have asked this question before, during other chats. Michael tends not to use liners. (He’s fine with just prepping the bowl with cooking spray beforehand.) But other readers are fans for numerous reasons, including:
- Cleaning up is super-easy. You don’t have to scrub food from the ceramic bowl. You just toss the liner in the trash.
- You can just tie up the bag and easily transport your food to a friend’s house.
- You may cut the risk of burning your food.
What’s your take on slow cooker liners? Do you use them?

Hello, i think that i saw you visited my website so i came to “return the favor”.Im trying to find things to enhance my website!I suppose its ok to use a few of your ideas!!グッチ 財布
I always use liners just as I love using cooking bags in the oven. It is the easiest cleanup you’ll ever have and makes it super easy to move the food to a serving bowl or platter. There is nothing to clean, just give the crock a rinse if you want and you’re done!
The liners are good for some recipes. The kind that use cream soups, sour cream and such.
Although I too wonder about the chemical element of the plastic.
Just how sure are we that the plastic liner is not leaching chemicals into our food during the long cooks. Cleaning up the pot is easy if you let it soak in hot soapy water.
Useful yes. The problem is it’s just more plastic in landfills.
It is very useful.
I just want to introduce a kind of cosmetics to you,you can refer to cheap mac cosmetics.
Thank you.
