One of the easiest things we have done around our house to live a lifestyle with less environmental impact is to transition away from the harsh, environmentally un-friendly, cleaning products. One of our favorites is a homemade all-purpose cleaner that is made with items found at most grocery or natural food stores.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Distilled Water
- 3 Tbsp Pure Castile Soap
- 10-15 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 15-2o drops Lavender Essential Oil
Directions:
- Mix ingredients in a glass measuring cup.
- Pour into clean spray bottle.
- Use as you would any store-bought cleaning solution.
Not only does it clean really well, but it gives every room a wonderful smell. But if making your own is not your thing, we have found some other environmentally friendly products that work really well and are available in most stores.
Mrs. Meyers – From All-purpose cleaners, to dish soaps, air fresheners, and laundry detergents, this product line has it all.
Activeion Ionator – This handy spray bottle turns tap water into a sanitizer without harsh chemicals.
Happy clean cleaning!
