When it comes to summer eats, ribs are among my favorites. They’re great to serve at BBQs and outdoor parties–as long as you provide plenty of napkins!
They’re also the perfect meat for your slow cooker. Several hours in the pot will make ribs super-tender and flavorful. Afterwards, you could stick them on the grill for a few minutes to yield a nice char. Or, you can serve them straight from the slow cooker (and reduce the sauce on the stovetop, if necessary).
Here are some recipes to get you started:
Slow Cooker Pull-Apart Ribs: Slow cook these ribs in beer, then finish them off on the grill.
Slow Cooker Country-Style Barbecue Ribs: Cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dark-brown sugar and hot pepper sauce are just a few ingredients in the flavorful marinade.
Slow Cooker Easy Barbecued Ribs: Take one look at the photo, from Mmm Is for Mommy, and you’ll see why this rib recipe has been repinned so many times on Pinterest.
Slow Cooker Korean Short Ribs: I love Korean galbi, so I definitely need to try making my own.
Slow Cooker Bourbon Baby Back Ribs: This recipe, via What’s Cookin’ Chicago?, had me at “bourbon barbecue sauce.”
Slow Cooker Orange Chipotle Ribs: The sweetness from orange marmalade sounds like a tasty counterbalance to chili powder in this recipe from A Year of Slow Cooking.
